Read all reviewsI was up for an adventure on a Sunday afternoon and decided to plan a double date at the Real Escape Room. This place is located in the Jazz Cat plaza on the upper level above Half and Half. The business doesn't have a sign so you have to look around to find the door.

The premise of this challenge is that you are locked in a room and you need to solve a series of puzzles to escape. You can choose to solve the puzzles with the lights on or off (for extra challenge). You get a number of hints during the game and can ask for one by pressing a button near the door.
Overall, we escaped but only because the moderator gave us an extra 10 minutes at the end since we probably looked frazzled and probably because we begged him to. The people working there are all really nice and try their best to make this game... dramatic and realistic.
The puzzles were not very impressive and some of the solutions a bit of a stretch? Without hints or some odd zebra not horses thinking, we probably could not have made it through. The backstory of the "secret laboratory" is a little cheesy and most of the props seem very low-budget. BUT, I did still have a great time there. The 50 minutes absolutely flew by, and in the end, I was still happy that I paid the Real Escape Room a visit.
