It was a great experience. It was fun exciting and brain busting. I would have never expected this to be so much fun! The guys there told me that they were going to be having more rooms pretty soon so I will definitely go back and do it again! Highly recommended!

After checking this place out, I really wanted to write a review.

I had heard of Escape Rooms before from friends and the internet, so I was very curious to experience one in person. From what I gathered from other reviews and research on other Escape Rooms in other cities, is that people typically ended up in one of two types of places...
1) A generic room with a very basic narrative/theme, with most puzzles being a "find a key to this Lock" which will lead you to "another key that goes to another a lock" - Very Lineal and in the end, you leave having done something for the first time, but not feeling really challenged and most likely wouldn't be up for spending money on doing another Escape Room again.
2) A well thought out & immersive experience, great narrative story, intricate puzzles, and big on production value with attention to detail & decor.
With so many Escape Rooms opening up in Washington DC over the past several months, I feared that most were of the first variety - in which owners did the bare minimum to create an attraction to basically jump on the bandwagon of a new trend, with not a lot of money or time invested to creating something memorable. Just in it to make a quick buck while its hot.
I was so happy to see that this place was like the latter. Without going into detail as I don't want to spoil potential experiences - I can say that I was really surprised about the overall production value, the special effects, and how detailed and intricate they got with the rooms. It really was an immersive experience.
The staff was very nice and helpful - We were running a little late getting there, and they accommodated us. You can tell that they really care about the customer experience, want you to have fun, and want repeat business.
As for the puzzles themselves, they are challenging, but not impossible. One piece of advice is to not overthink certain things as you might miss some very blatant and obvious clues.
Also - it goes without saying that it's best if you go with a group that are like-minded people that can work in a group. Certain people have a tendency to get tyrannical which will spoil the experience for others.
We did The Secret Society Room.
Will return to try the other rooms. Definitely Recommend.
Escape rooms are taking the United States by storm! The goal of the game is to find a way out of a locked room within the given time limit. Work as a team to solve logical puzzles, uncover clues, and follow the storyline to unravel the mystery. Each riddle brings you one step closer to the ultimate escape! Escape room games are great for a night out with friends, a date, a birthday celebration, or a team-building activity in the United States.
