Escape the Trap

The Trap Museum in Atlanta is nothing but bad business practices. I was charged admission for Saturday 8/16 when they had no power, and instead of closing or immediately refunding guests, the security guard and manager CJ offered for my friends and I to “walk through the museum in the dark.” Completely unacceptable. I explained to him that we were just visiting Atlanta for the weekend. I immediately requested a refund in person but I was informed because the power was out they couldn’t process a refund, that I needed to fill out the form online which I immediately did upon leaving the location. It’s been well over a week now with zero communication and no money returned. From what I can see, this seems to be a pattern — they ignore refund requests and do not care about their customers. This place is poorly managed, disorganized, and borderline a scam. Save your time, money, and frustration!! Today is Saturday September 13th & I have yet to receive a refund or be in contact with anyone from the museum. They scammed me out of $100 !!!!!

Me and the bestie participated in the trap escape and it was the best escape room we've done! The actors were hilarious and witty. Down to earth and very personable. Clues weren't super hard but if you're not about the 'trap' life then their hints were very helpful. If they created another room I would love to do it. 5 stars

Our private party of 10 all agree that this was absolutely the worst experience, waste of your time, money, and gas. In addition to the overpriced tickets plus $20 parking, the actors or tour guides asked for tips. We really got, GOT, in the TRAP. It is truly overpriced and overrated. I would not recommend this to anyone, especially if they have been to an escape room before. It was a hot mess😣.

All I can say is this experience was nothing like the ordinary escape rooms. It was very interactive, fun and educational if you know nothing about what trap is…you will learn 🤣 book the room with 10 people you know and enjoy! The best of Atlanta to see is Escape the Trap!!!!!

My sisters and I did the Escape the Trap room and toured the Trap Music Museum. It was a great experience! The escape room is like no other room that I’ve ever done! It was so much fun! You had to think outside of the box. The museum itself isn’t a large space, but the exhibits are well thought out. It’s a must see if you love trap music. The music was great and the bar serves amazing drinks. One recommendation is to go during the week if you can to avoid large crowds. We tried to go previously on a Saturday and there was a 4 hour wait! We left before it was our turn, but received notification to enter 4 hours after being added to the list! Another recommendation is to do the escape room which includes admission to the museum and guarantees a specific entry time. This is not a kid friendly atmosphere.
