Escape game: The Lair
Just recently I get lucky because I stumbled upon this place by accident when I was reading an article “15 Best Places to Meet Singles in Los Angeles” – https://www.flirt.com/ and this place was among those 15. Out of sheer curiosity, I decided to make a visit and I was hooked right away. Since then it's my favourite escape room in Los Angeles, where we always have a lot of fun!
Escape game: Jack the Ripper
These rooms are the real deal! Strongly recommended! The Culver City branch let my fiancee and I play their new "Jack the Ripper" room early, and good golly, it was amazing. A wide variety of clever puzzles that are integrated with a full, 3-Act narrative. No puzzles exist "Just because". They are all either literally riddles/challenges Jack left behind or direct metaphors for the investigative process. Not only are the puzzles thematically enthralling, they are entirely challenging and creative. Each of them is very different than the others while also containing different thought processes. Some are riddles that require abstract thought, whereas another puzzle may be a straight-forward scavenger hunt that requires a keen eye, curiosity, and thorough investigation. My fiancee and I work together well but also have very different thought processes. To this end, it felt entirely rewarding to split up and apply this, with my interpreting coded messages and her noticing the clues and items I would have never caught onto. So rewarding! As well, the room's hosts are beyond kind and generous. We were provided a walkie talkie that was intended to be used for a limited amount of clues, as well as emergencies. I can't say enough nice things about this room. It's the real deal. Rooms like this are textbook examples of why Escape Rooms are big and what a unique experience they can provide. Please go try it as soon as you can!
Escape game: The Cabin
This place was a lot of fun! We entered the Excido and the guy working was very nice, explained everything to us very well. There were six of us locked in a room, trying to beat the clock to get out of the cabin. The place is clean and organized. He gave us a radio for us to communicate with him, you can receive a hint. We used that up pretty quick.
Escape game: Cooper Records
I went with my hubby and 3 other friends, and we had a blast! We were all totally new to the experience, but they did a good job explaining what to expect - and dropped a clue or two when we got stuck. We made it out - and vow to do the other room with no clues! Totally family friendly, lots of fun and good pizza nearby. Had gone by the old location, and like this one a lot! AND I got to support a local, small business! Total win!
Escape game: Private Eye
This was so much fun!! My family wants to do another one now! It is a great activity, takes teamwork and a lot of puzzle solving!
Escape game: Private Eye
We tried both of the rooms that they had available, and had an absolute blast in both. The first one we didn't complete in time, but got very close! And the second one we managed to get through. They do a really good job of making the experience totally immersive, and you get lost in the experience (in a good way). We will definitely be keeping an eye out for new rooms from them!
