I had almost exactly the same experience as Caleb. It had some fun elements, but not all of them worked well, and we were able to open some of the elements out of order and/or without understanding how. Some of the elements were a really good time. I liked the theme, but it did feel low-value in terms of production budget.

The room I played was the sky odyssey, and I was disappointed with the quality of puzzles in the room. The design of the space was immersive, and the concept was clever enough that it could have been fun, but it fell short in other ways. I tried to keep this review spoiler free, but this is what I wish I would have known before going in.

The puzzles are extremely linear, so you have to do things in a very specific order to complete the room. Many of the puzzles did not have auditory or visual indicators to show that the solution had been found, and some of the puzzles failed to work even when we completed the steps. The game master helped us the best she could to figure out what was going wrong, but even she seemed fed up with the non-intuitive puzzle design.
My largest issue with this room is accessibility. There is a significant amount of crawling and climbing needed in this room, several puzzles needed to be solved following difficult-to-hear audio instructions, and the room was also too dimly lit to see much of the time.
I will say, if I had never done an escape room before this may have been an interesting room. It would probably be fun for an 8-year old’s birthday party.
Disclaimer: This was experienced during covid and may not have been a full experience.

This room was okay - but not great. So far, I have one major complaint that seems to run through all rooms at Maze Rooms... It simply doesn't hold up against the competition. While the rooms might have interesting ideas, the production value feels cheap, the puzzles feel short and easy, and the pay-offs lack spice.
The good: Fantasy themes aren't common in escape rooms, so as a nerd, this is always a nice change of pace. The overall puzzle and story is simple and neat, if a bit short and lacking depth. The are a few puzzles that gives off the feeling of experiencing a fantasy world, if only for a moment.
The bad: In my experience, good escape rooms cause you to forget you're in a game. Here, however, the cracks are all over. We managed to open chests and doors without knowing how, production elements were either damaged or felt like toys, and the more fantastical elements looked like they were made with a high school theater budget.
Overall, if you're new to escape games or want something for a more family-oriented experience, this will be an enjoyable time. However, if you're seasoned, want a challenge, and/or crave immersion, I'd give this one a pass.
It's been years since doing this room. My roommate and I nearly hit the best time... Ultimately, a room we were excited for but to this day, left us unsatisfied.

While this room (like many others made by Maze Rooms) had a creativity to it, it's production value simply falls flat when you compare it to all of the amazing competition out there. The visuals didn't feel immersive, but like a disney channel tv show set. That is, they worked and were somewhat enjoyable, but ultimately everything just felt low-budget and cheap. To add to the lack of immersion — when place in the room, we were immediately told the door wasn't locked and that we could leave at any time... That's just not fun.
That said, if you've never done an escape room, you may enjoy this. I wouldn't call it good, but has some enjoyment for those without having experienced other rooms to compare this to.
However, if you're a savant looking for an optimal experience, you're better off looking elsewhere.
I LOVED the atmosphere and decorations. The staff was very friendly. Will definitely be back for more rooms.

Brilliant, difficult and fun!
