You may have seen the pyramids in pictures, but this will be an entirely different story! Join archaeological expeditions to become a part of ancient history and explore lost worlds and civilizations. Are you ready to face the unknown?
The room I played was the sky odyssey, and I was disappointed with the quality of puzzles in the room. The design of the space was immersive, and the concept was clever enough that it could have been fun, but it fell short in other ways. I tried to keep this review spoiler free, but this is what I wish I would have known before going in.Connor M
The puzzles are extremely linear, so you have to do things in a very specific order to complete the room. Many of the puzzles did not have auditory or visual indicators to show that the solution had been found, and some of the puzzles failed to work even when we completed the steps. The game master helped us the best she could to figure out what was going wrong, but even she seemed fed up with the non-intuitive puzzle design.
My largest issue with this room is accessibility. There is a significant amount of crawling and climbing needed in this room, several puzzles needed to be solved following difficult-to-hear audio instructions, and the room was also too dimly lit to see much of the time.
I will say, if I had never done an escape room before this may have been an interesting room. It would probably be fun for an 8-year old’s birthday party.
Set up the Lost Mummy for a small group of 12 year olds.... it was great although they did need a few hints, especially on the last puzzle. I set up a space in the basement for it.... they didn’t escape so much as have to unlock the sarcophagus to get to their movie snacks....Kelly
It was a great game, good for adults too! Easy to set up...
Super fun experience for the kids. We bought the Lost Mummy kit, it was a little to hard for my group of 8-12 year olds, but they still had fun.Theresa
Highly recommended by a team of four seven-year old girls who just found a Lost Mummy. Easy to setup, and more importantly, easy to customize. Some of the puzzles are too hard for the age group? Add some hints! Get creative. Just having these puzzles stimulate your brain into wanting to fine tune them to your audience, and I must admit, that might be more fun for the gamemaster than even playing it. Can’t wait to run the girls through Frost this chilly December.Anthony
I had so much fun my first escape room and I can't wait to go again! I tried the pyramid room and our group made it out with about a few minutes to spare it was a great experience!i loved being put in the room with people we didn't know and working together as a teams!Lisa
My group of 8 loved, loved, loved The Pyramid (which is Mayan, not Egyptian). My first Escape Room and we made it out. Super colorful and multi-sensorial. Staff Guide Theresa was all that to assist if needed. It was so much more stimulating and challenging than I thought it would be. Cool to see friend's skills come out. Can't wait for the next one!Chris
