I ended up here for a birthday outing. The set decoration made the experience feel immersive. A puzzle near the end had everyone participating. We kept second‑guessing our ideas. I would gladly try another room here.

We chose this activity while visiting the city. The setting felt carefully planned. Some puzzles were quick to solve while others took serious discussion. We celebrated loudly after solving one tricky step. I would gladly try another room here.

My friends and I booked the room as a spontaneous evening plan. The sound effects made certain moments more intense. Some puzzles were quick to solve while others took serious discussion. Our group kept laughing whenever we made silly mistakes. It ended up being the highlight of our evening.

My boyfriend and I recently went. I had never done an escape room before, so it was a fun first-time experience! For never having done an escape room before, I was able to get the hang of it pretty quickly. We started with Onyx Tower and had a lot of fun, so we followed up with the Wizards Trial's. We didn't expect just how much more puzzles we'd have to solve! Matthew was great and was super easy to talk to. If we had more time that day, I'm sure we would've been down to book a 3rd escape room because of him. First time experience 10/10. It was a lot of fun.

My husband and I have done the wizard trial room, which was luxurious with detail but maybe a little tough for only 2 players, and the onyx room, which was perfect for 2 players. Both were lots of fun! We will definitely be back to try the other rooms. It's near the blue line and tons of great restaurants - bonus! Street parking is pretty easy, too.

Wonderful experience at PanIQ doing their Onyx Tower! The puzzles were interactive and well-themed to the storyline of the room. Heidi (and Sully) were very kind and made the experience even better! Highly recommend.

Took my Significant other here on a date and we went to the Onyx room, it was pretty straight forward, lots of fun would definitely come back and try a more difficult room

We had an absolutely amazing time. We did the Onyx Tower, it was my first time and I had a blast! Our game master was so amazing and fun to work with. Even with the state of the world, they did a great job with taking precautions, everyone was wearing a mask including ourselves. Thank you so much for the amazing time, I definitely will look to be back again!

Of all of the escape rooms my boyfriend and I have done, this one was the best by far. The production and atmosphere are really great! We did the Onyx Tower, which was super fun, and we plan on going back and doing another with a couple more people.

Jim and Brennan took excellent care of us, we had a blast in the onyx tower. Don't be afraid or too self assured to ask for hints. They're definitely not straightforward and keep the immersion going while being helpful.

One of the best escape rooms in the Chicago area!! We did Onyx Tower and Medieval Madness and both were amazing. The game masters were also on point and very helpful. We will for sure be back.

I'm an ex room owner and pretty much spend my time reviewing rooms now. I was excited to try my first miniature room, but this experience left me baffled. Onyx Tower feels like it could have been a 5-star room, but they gave up in alpha.

Many puzzles and the entirety of the narrative depend on audio clips-- but the music isn't calibrated to the clips, with the result that we simply missed most of it. I would give another star if the music were simply quieter, or softened when the narrator spoke. The narrative was better than most rooms I've been through, but the puzzles/props didn't back it up-- there are prop weapons and prop dragons, but nothing even metaphorical for fighting/slaying a dragon. I would give another star if they just rearranged the existing puzzles to follow the narrative. And then there are only two real inductive puzzles-- the room is short, but there needed to be at least one more to get 5 stars.

Very strange experience. I can't recommend the room today, but it seems like a bare minimum of effort would take it to a top ten experience.
