We went to Hollywood Escape house and did the Woman in the Attic room. My wife and I have done about 50 escape rooms, and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had in any room.

First, they accommodated a last minute booking that made our game start 30 minutes late, totally unacceptable.
Second, the explanation of the room was almost non-existent. We had to ask the game master what the objective of the room was, as she forgot to tell us.
Third, when the game master reset our room, she left the first crucial clue in the 2nd part of the room, so we struggled while looking for that clue for about 10 minutes until the game master realized what had happened, and then she just told us the answer to 2 of the puzzles in the first part of the room, so we never got to do those 2 puzzles.
Fourth, another puzzle was wrapped in a chain that had to be unlocked, but when we grabbed it, the chain just fell off, so another puzzle we did not get to do.
Fifth, after we escaped, when I mentioned all of the things that had gone wrong so far, the game master offered to give us 15% off on another room. We had to wait 30 minutes, and then once we did get in, the experience was totally ruined, and they offered us about a $4.50 discount: not nearly enough.
Sixth, I even gave them another chance to set things right by sending them an email explaining our experience. There was absolutely no reply, so either someone just deleted the message so that management did not see it, or they saw it and just did not care. This left me with no choice other than to make this terrible experience public on every forum where escape room people might go to warn them of the severely subpar experience that may await you at the Hollywood Escape House.
Just to recap: room started 30 minutes late, clues left in wrong room, 3 puzzles that we did not get to do because of incorrect room reset, only offered $4.50 discount to make up for poor experience, and no response from management. Shame on you, Hollywood Escape House!
We had the best time at the House on Carolina Escape Room (aka The Trap House)!! It was challenging but didn't take away from the fun. We were completely into it until we escaped. They give you clues when you're stuck to help you along!

Sophia, the employee who helped us, was great. We loved the whole experience and are definitely planning to go back for their other rooms!
The spot was pretty cool. Went with a group for a birthday celebration and did the House on Carolina escape room. Great experience and it really makes you become a detective to find clues and escape.

The House on Carolina trap room experience was awesome! We had such a good time. It was challenging but we mastered all the clues

I've been to several escape rooms in the past and thought I would try this one out as I live in the area. We had 6 people in our group. When we arrived we were greeted by Irfan. He gave us the rundown of the place and was pretty funny. They have a canopy like area before you go into the house. OH, this place is not just an escape room, it's an actual escape house which is different from any of the other places I have seen.

We did the Indian Palace room. It was a lot of fun and pretty challenging. The game master wrote silly messages on the screen directed towards the people in our room and how we were doing. It was hilarious! We escaped with about 5 minutes left and had a GREAT time. I'll be coming back to their second room for sure!
