Located in the increasingly popular Downtown Pomona area, amongst several new bars and restaurants is the Mayfair Hotel. Once you and your group arrive, you will be taken to the "famed" room #13. Several mysterious circumstances have been reported in the hotel. But none as shocking as what happened in room #13...
Once in, your only way out is by combining your intellectual and creative capacities to solve puzzles, search for clues and find the answers to riddles. Your time is limited to 60 minutes, so think fast!
Excellent Room. One of the best Ive ever played and we have done over 20!.Jon
First, this is one of the largest rooms we have ever played with many secret rooms. The puzzles were a great mix and everyone enjoyed it.
What we like about this company is that everyone one of there rooms are in separate locations in the historic part of downtown pomona.
Perhaps you will encounter the great sherlock himself !
This room was a waste of money. There were a few things to do that you were given no clues for and they were not even remotely logical to the game. After wasting a lot of time ... When the guy in the room finally does it for you.. You are kind of mad that you paid for something not thought out well at all. We thought hard meant difficult problems and puzzles.. Not a room that has no way to solve it until the kid they have watching you does it for you because he is supposed to be acting like sherlock holmes. No acting happened. He does not give you a clue.. He literally just does it.Apollo
The Sherlock Holmes room...wait did it have something to do with vampires? Not sure because the owner/actor that is in the room with you the whole time does everything for you. You can’t really call this an escape room. I can’t believe we paid $40 each!! I’m seriously disappointed. The only reason it requires 10 people is so they can pocket more cash. I won’t ruin it by giving you all the clues—the owner will do that when he enters the room within minutes of you starting. I kid you not..”No that doesn’t go there, it goes here...”. Freaking terribleKris
The premise of the game is poorly thought out. You have to ask for help because the clues are illogical and poorly written and then the man standing in the room with you doeAnn
s everything for you. No riddles or anything to guide you and everyone is forced to clump because there is literally only one clue in each room to find and there are giant leaps that have nothing to guide you but the man in the room that keeps mumbling things barely audible for you to ring bell for help... Then he does it for you. It was boring.. While we finished it.. Or rather sherlock finished it, it was boring and all these other reviews are clearly by the owner and his friends. Ps.. The host also bashed the poor service in busy metro restaurant nect door as reason no longer affiliated with them. We were going to eat there until that soo.. Not really a good business practice to punt the place that lets you use their restrooms.
Have done 3 of their rooms. We just did the new Sherlock Holmes room, hand down our favorite room out of the 14 we have done so far in so cal.Jon.
My sister and I have done every escape room this company has offered and have just done the most recent room, Sherlock Holmes: Night of the Vampire. We loved it! The two of us had joined another group of 8 and were a bit skeptical at first. Luckily we worked very well together and successfully escaped! This room was different from the others since the space was much much bigger and longer game time. The quality of the props were great as usual. The moderator, Kyle, was awesome and super friendly. The owner, Eddy, was also present after the game and as usual was a pleasure to talk to. You can tell he has so much passion when creating these escape rooms, the quality of the games definitely reflect that. Definitely would recommend for a fun night with your friends and family.Mylee
