Read all reviews3/18/2019 Me and 3 other friends went to Gr8 Escape Arkansas downtown next to Rolando's. We had the 10 o'clock reservation and paid online in advance. From the time we got there the guy was giving us weird vibes. We all went to the restroom before the game started and it looked to be a false wall, on one side there was a panel attached to the wall. It looked like a room divider with seams where it folds. I wondered if you could see through from the other side but I thought I was just being paranoid. The owner rambled on for about 30 minutes making awkward jokes before we even got started on the game. We then went to the back to watch a video of the rules before we started at about 10:30. He mentioned that none of the cameras were working so he would be upstairs listening in case we needed his help with a clue. We did notice that all the cameras had their red lights on as if they were all working. We finally start the game and we are about 15 minutes in when my friend glances up the stairs where he was in what he called the control room. There was a large mirror mounted on the wall and in the reflection she seen the owner in a chair [...]. She then comes over to me and whispers in my ear what she sees so I go over and glanced up there to confirm. He was definitely [...]. We then immediately went to the back of the room where our other two friends were and told them what we saw. At that point, we think that he had caught on to us whispering because when the other two friends went around the corner to look up one of them shined their flashlight up the stairs and he told us that the cameras were now working. He said that he was going to reboot the system and restart our time. We were only about 15-20 minutes into our game at this point and it was going well so there was no reason to restart the timer. We think he knew that we saw him up there. We could hear him up there rustling around and it sounded like he was about to come down the stairs so we booked it out of there and called the cops. We met the police down the road a little bit and gave them our statement. The cops then tried to make contact with the owner, but he would not answer the door. I don't know if he will face any charges for this or anything so I just want to warn everybody to stay away from there, especially those with children. I'm sure this isn't the first time this has happened. It's spring break so everybody's looking for fun stuff to do and alot of tourists are in town with their kids and I really don't want anyone else have to go through something like this. This was my first escape room and I felt as if I literally had to escape!!!! I wanted to try all of them in town but after last night I'm so shocked I don't think I'll be able to try the others anytime soon. 😱😱😱
