First time at an escape room and our group had a blast. We did the Captive room and made it out with 5 min to spare! It was such an adrenaline rush!

So much fun! We got a group of 8 together for the Captive room and found out pretty quickly that this one takes some real brain power. We faltered early and ran out of time and lost our lives to the serial killer. Even though we didn't get out alive I think we were all blown away with how well put together this room was and the level of detail the staff put into making you get anxious and feel like you might really lose your life if you can't get out.

This is my favorite escape room in Houston so far! It was pretty challenging, not too easy- which I liked. It gave a nice scare factor here and there too which kept us on our toes. It looked more legit compared to the other escape rooms I've been to.

In case you're wondering which other rooms I've done, I'm comparing with Houston Escape Room and Escape the Room Texas. I like Cipher the best so far!

12 people max, I did the Captive Room and it was fun! 17% success rate, my group beat it so it's do-able!

PS- Michael was a great puzzle master! Very helpful, played his role really well! And had a great "evil" voice lol

MAAAAAN! One clue away from solving our room. We did The Captive. The props and clues were great and not too farfetched. Even the clue giver was creepy but it definitely made the scenario more realistic. Seriously, the room was well built and constructed. Can't say enough about it. The escape room itself is in the back of a well lit alley but there is a sign posted in front of the alley so it's not too hard to find. Just slow down when you get near the vicinity. We ended up parking on the street due to the absence of a parking lot but it wasn't too bad. If we had to do this room again, we definitely would make sure we had a larger group with us as there were only 4 of us in our group. Clues and puzzles would have been solved faster with more people involved. All in all, we had a very positive experience and will be heading back ASAP to solve The Heist!

Thoroughly enjoyed this escape room! We made it out with just over a minute to spare but it was NOT easy. It's an extremely challenging room with well-planned puzzles and high quality props...not cheesy at all! Looking forward to more rooms opening at Cipher.
