I may be holding back on my 4th star because Escape the Quest made me feel a little stupid lol, but I also felt my expectations were a little bit higher. Though maybe I just think I'm smarter than I am.
Savanna M had bought a deal for 4 (I think living social) for this Escape the Quest and we each threw in about $20 to cover it. I visited the website prior, and although I did not do the booking, it seemed pretty user friendly and pretty much everything you needed to do could be done online. We arrived and had to sign some paperwork and you are provided lockers to keep your things. The quest we had purchased was the stay of execution. Obviously I can't go into too many details, because I don't want to ruin in for others but I will say what I can.
I think I am going with three stars because I just wanted a little more. Escaping was NOT easy, but when when we were actually out and evaluating what we had been through, there were a lot of dead end clues, which made me feel like there were unanswered questions. However, this may just be the scientist in me, and some things just exist for no other purpose than to make it harder to escape. I think I just wanted to feel more like a detective and it really just ended in me over analyzing everything, because the solution was more simple. I will repeat however that escaping was not easy. You are given an hour to get out of the room, and we nearly didn't. You are given a walkie talkie to ask for a hint and a clue, and we used both. Looking at other people's reviews my opinions are obviously just my own, and the way you think probably has a significant affect on how you approach the quest. Since Savanna and I are scientists, we probably looked for the complicated before the simple, and that may have been part of why we felt a little dumb afterwards.
Overall, a fun experience, and I would be open to trying another room as this location offers a few other scenarios to escape from.
