You and your friends love exploring abandoned and hopefully haunted houses for fun. “Ghosts aren’t even real!” - you exclaim in the car ride to your next destination. Your friends’ laughter swells as you reread the web article that brought you all here.

“Many people went missing in the summer of 1986. Gripped with fear, the Harpers stayed inside their home trying to remain safe but despite their effort, tragedy struck. When their little Abigail went missing just days before Christmas, it was too much to bear. Both parents are presumed dead after manhunt turned up nothing.”

Could the little girl haunt those time-faded walls of her childhood home? What really happened here? Where have they all… gone?

They ask us for vaccine cards and refuse service if you’re not vaccinated. Would not even give a refund after turning us away.

I drove 2 hours to surprise my wife on her birthday with an escape room and we were refused service or a refund. I called to get all the details of the room before visiting and the lady on the phone suggested the "gone" room. She said I could buy extra tickets and get a private room for the 2 of us and would not be required to wear masks in the room. This was my main question and concern when booking an escape room and nothing is posted on their website about a COVID policy. I fully support a businesses right to run anyway they please and they don't have to allow people that haven't been vaccinated. However, If that was mentioned online or over the phone, I would have simply moved on and booked with a different company. (The Box is an amazing escape room).

When we arrived, the lady at the counter was very rude and started asking questions about our medical history and wanted information on any vaccines we have received. We respectfully declined that Information, so she asked us to leave and said we would not be getting a refund.

I emailed the owner and thought there might be a misunderstanding, in hopes we may be able to enter the room or get a refund. Dan responded by calling me names and went on a rant about how there was a new law requiring people to wear masks and get vaccines. He also rambled on about a virus that traveled through the heat and air ducts of his business and lived on the surfaces within. Never heard of such a thing, but it does sound scary.

Folks, these people have an agenda to push and they don't really care about our health or safety, it's all about them, and that's what truly scares me. Stop supporting these types of businesses and they will soon go away.

My group and I did Gone on 3/15/18 and it was BEYOND FUN. We beat it and had a blast running around and figuring out the clues — the hints helped, but it was our first time there. I can’t wait to come back!

Visiting from Tampa and being obsessed with escape rooms we HAD to give it a try! Gone was AMAZING! The props and the theming were INSANE! If you enjoy scary movies and being scared this room is SO worth it. We all felt like we were in a scary movie. The props were great, the puzzles definitely made you think, it truly was difficult in the best way. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Charlotte!

Lauren was an amazing Master for my friend and I who did Gone last night! The room was definitely a major challenge for two people, but Lauren was there the entire time. She also talked to us a bit and encouraged us to not be scared of some of the creepy things in the room. It definitely created a very enjoyable experience and she was super awesome! We will definitely be back!
