This was my second escape room and we completed the School of Magic in 30 minutes. When the final door opened, we all said that was it, we're done? There weren't enough puzzles, a lot of what we had to do didn't really make sense and one of the clues wasn't working properly. It was fun, but should be done with a much smaller group. We had 8 people and it would maybe be more challenging with 3 or 4.

Description:

You and your friends are new students at the hidden and mysterious School of Magic. You have heard of the rumors of the return of this great evil. Suddenly, a scream is heard coming from a dark hallway. All the other instructors and students have been put under a strange spell.

You and your crew are the only ones unaffected. It's up to you to face this evil head-on. Time is of the essence to find all the ancient relics and stop this ancient evil.

Reviews of escape game "School of Magic"

The puzzles were well thought out and varied enough to allow all levels of players to participate. However, the props and facilities were in a general state of disrepair and needed to be refreshed and repaired. Two of the doors didn’t work properly when we discovered the correct opening mechanism, and we had to waste two clues to have the operator tell us, “Oh, that door should have opened when you did X.” So that was wasted time and wasted clues, but no recompense was offered, like additional time on the clock or additional clues. Disappointing.
