Description:
You and a team of elite scientists have been summoned to the lab of none other than your former colleague, the mad, but brilliant Dr. Berkowski. Dr. Berkowski was a renowned virologist. He was known for his unwavering faith in his work – to the point that he was always willing to inject himself with the pathogen he was studying to test his antidote on himself.Dr. Berkowski was successful in his endeavors, but the years of experimenting on himself took its toll on his health and mental state over time. As his career progressed, he was slowly descending into madness becoming frenzied and demented as he sought answers at all costs.
He became reclusive – working feverishly and alone in his remote lab. His latest research was regarding a zombie-like disease that would obliterate humanity. The disease caused the infected to lose cognitive abilities, seeking only to kill and devour all things it encountered. It would be devastating to the world if it ever left his laboratory without the antidote he was developing. Dr. Berkowski had finished what he believed to be a viable antidote and injected himself with the virus to evaluate the antidote.
His test failed, and he desperately tried to correct the antidote as the disease took over his mind and body. As he descended further into his deranged mind, he decided that if he could not return to himself – he would take the world down with him.
He created a plot to destroy humankind with the virus that infected him. However, in his final hours with cognitive function, he had a moment of lucidity and sent a desperate message to his former supervisor at the CDC outlining his plan. He explained there were fail safes to prevent the release of the pathogen and sought help for his altered state. Dr. Berkowski was located and contained within his facilities.
Your team has been assembled to piece together the fail safes that Dr. Berkowski put in place to stop the release of the virus if he was finally able to find the correct antidote and restore his former health and cognition. You now have an hour until the release of the pathogen to the world’s population. Your team must finish Dr. Berkowski’s experiments to engage the fail safe and prevent the release of the disease on humanity.
