Eight people is a reasonable amount of players for escape rooms. Everyone will find something to do: strategizing, taking charge, searching for clues, solving puzzles, cheering the team on, counting down the minutes, wandering from room to room or chatting up the game master. This was a great escape room. We did the mad hatter room. Totally worth every penny. Rooms were decorated for the theme well and there was a lot of clues and plenty of things that had to be done to escape. We went with 8 people which was the max, and it didn't feel crowded. We had so much fun! Special thanks to their employee Matt! He was so nice, flawlessly answered all of our questions and gave us clues when needed. He definitely played big a part of our great experience at escape zone!

We scheduled the Mad Hatter room for a private session for my daughter’s 10th Birthday. We had 8, 9-10 yr olds; 2, 7 yr olds, and 2 adults.
We split up into 2 teams with an adult for each room. It was so much fun! They girls had a blast as well as my husband and I. We were laughing all night long about how insanely cute they kids were trying to figure out the puzzles using the clues we found within the room. Definitely bring your thinking cap though bc it is very challenging but really fun at the same time. My daughter told me, it was the best birthday and the escape room was exactly what she had wanted it to be. I highly recommend Escape Zone Long Island. The staff was super friendly and very acomidating as well!!

Went with one child and three adults just to try something to do. The reviews on here actually spurred me to be a little more excited than I otherwise would have been. It was a blast. The effort to get out of the room is not easy, but it is cool as heck trying to work it out with people in your group. You work together, have a great time, and have 'aha' moments when you figure some of the tougher things out. The people there couldn't have been nicer as well.

There were 9 of us in the room - all family and various ages from 21 to 63 and we had a blast! Only 1 of us ever went through an escape room before so we were definitely novices. Thank goodness for the game master because we might still be in there without the great clues she provided to us. And to our surprise we got out with about 1 minute to spare! We all want I do another one again soon!

We were a group of 6 64 year old women. This was so much fun. You may ask questions prior to entering the escape room. It is not claustrophobic at all. You do not need to have physical brawn but you do need mental brawn.
