Description:

A heavy fog cloaked San Diego Harbor in 1859 when a square-rigged, three-mast, galley ship dropped anchor. The ship was captained by William Teach, a blood-thirsty pirate commonly known as One-Eyed Willy. Under cover of darkness, the ship lowered a small skiff carrying 3 sea-weary pirates and a cargo of treasure chests into the bay. The skiff made its way inland up the San Diego River and disappeared into a large underground cavern cut into the sandstone cliffs river bank.

A hundred years later, in the spring of 1958, a group of geologists from SDSU were researching earthquake faults and discovered the land under SDSU was riddled by a network of caverns which stretched from the college almost to the bay. They named the caverns “Nightwalker Caverns” after it was learned that a nighttime burglary ring used them as a hideout.

Later that year, a tour business found one of the entrances that the burglary ring had used to access the caverns and began advertising “cave tours” claiming that pirate treasure was hidden in the caverns. Tourists flocked to the caverns looking for "gold." The City grew tired of rescuing treasure hunters. Finally, after the disappearance of a man who claimed he had found One-Eyed Willy's treasure map, the City sealed the most easily accessible entrance to Nightwalker Caverns, and the land was eventually purchased by a developer. In 1962, an office building was built on the site. Locals in the area claim there is a hidden entrance to the caverns somewhere in the basement of the office building. Your adventure begins when your group finds an old map outside the basement door.

Don’t lose yourself or your friends while immersed in this Gooneze treasure hunt escape adventure game. You’ll need to keep your wits about you while crawling, sliding, and avoiding booby traps if you ever hope to find your way out of the caverns.
