We just got home from taking our great niece to wizard of oz escape room, 8 of our family members went to celebrate her 13 Birthday..
We were excited, the theme was from The Original Novel. You don’t need to know anything about the story, There is no questions about the novel or the movie.
From the
beginning, this room is not for you if you have any kind of hearing impairments!!! They have loud background noise, so when the workers speak to you over speaker, you can not hear them... the speaker is blown!!! I doubt that they realize this...
The first room, (of course, house in
Kansas. We are not experienced, but figured a code out, only for lock not to release.. so if lock doesn’t work you assume you got wrong answer... after 15-20 minutes, they tell us that we had the right answer, to reset the lock..(really)? The lock doesn’t open for correct code???
Maybe with the price you are charging... you can please replace speakers, and the locks!!! Finally when we get into Emerald City, the kids are working on Munchkins doors, and by accident we get key to open up to the Wizard, we get into to see oz with a key, and are told to get out of oz, close door and put key back... the doors open when they were not supposed to, kids were excited to get key, and then told to Put it back... ?? So no we didn’t complete. Our helper came in and said “oh we were so Close”. Lol!!!
Somewhere on website it said this is one of the best escape rooms in the world? Really? Speakers don’t work? Locks don’t release with correct code, and munchkins door open on accident releasing key to open door to Oz, and you are told to put key back and close door to Oz.. ?
We won’t be back!! We spent 240.00 for 1 hour of entertainment . I recommend you do something better with your money!!!
So very disappointed! I hate giving bad reviews.. but had to be honest.
