With the renovation of the historical buildings in Sparta, crews have discovered the entrance to the original mine shaft from the Ridge Mining Co founded in 1883. According to local legends the mine was dug under the town’s Greenwood cemetery.

TomThis place is absolutely unbelievable. From attention to detail in the aesthetic design to the actual challenges presented, it is top notch. Far exceeds my experience at other escape rooms, and by a wide margin. I will be recommending The Ruse to everyone I know, and will definitely be coming back again soon!

SamanthaWhat an amazing experience! We worked as a group of friends in the Inventors Guild room and had a blast! Brit was AWESOME as a host and was very good at knowing when we needed a clue and when we didn't want one. We got down to the wire but were victorious! I can't wait to go back and do the Trophy Room!

StephanieOur group had an absolute blast trying to escape "Judgement". We've done several Escape rooms at various locations and all agreed that this was the best! A really unique night out and it's perfect for birthdays. We'll definitely be back to try the other rooms.
