I bought the Escape Room Z kit for my sister's 30th birthday party. The first time I downloaded the kit, it didn't have everything in it that it needed and the company was so fast to respond and get me the rest of the "props" without any issues. I know they say you can just set up the game without knowing how to do it so you can play too, but I did find that tricky especially if you really want to personalize it and use props (safes and locks, etc.)- I wanted to set it up so it truly flowed and was as "realistic" as possible so I felt to do that, I needed to understand how the pieces connected and made it work. HOWEVER, that was okay by me- it was super fun to set it up for our party and watch everyone work through it. We had 8 adults and a 15 year old do it- the site is right when it suggests smaller groups- I think it would've been easier with less people. Only one of the people at our party had done an actual escape room before, so for the most part we were all total newbies to how escape rooms work. It took our group about 62 minutes to complete (someone cheated and set the timer back a couple minutes near the end hahaha, so it seemed like we finished it with 15 seconds to spare). However, no one took a hint until 30 minutes in (I tried to get them to do it sooner but they were stubborn 😉 ). Everyone said they had a blast and there was so much laughter- I highly recommend getting one of these kits for your next party 🙂
