• I have played both the original Escape the Room and Mission Escape Games. I have to say. My first game at Mission (Escape the Art Studio) was harder only because you do get used to what to look for in the room and how the clues come together. I did find the original Escape the Room Agency game more clever and interesting.
  
  We solved the Escape the Hydeout game in 34 minutes.
  
  I would recommend this to anyone who wants a challenge and good fun while exercising the brain.

• This was fun!
  
  A friend bought a block of Escape the Art Studio. We also had 2 others join us. I've heard a lot of things about this but didn't know what to expect. You're locked in a room for 1 hour with your group and given puzzles/clues to ultimately unlock yourself out of the room. We escaped with 7 minutes to spare!
  
  The staff was also really friendly, escorting us to the bathroom and taking photos for us after we escaped!

• Found out about this game when I was browsing through Living social deals. My friends and I were planning to play escape the Room when this Living social deal popped up so decided to play this game too. Will review "Escape the Room" next month when we play that game.
  
  We had a team of four that joined with another team of six. Orginally more of our friends wanted to join and play but there was only 4 spots available for the time slot that we wanted. Since we joined with another group we had a team of ten and met 6 New friends. It was cool. We probably would not had been able to solve the game without the other team. So it was good that we combined teams. I actually recommend that for teams less than 10 people. The more people the better.
  
  The puzzles were harder than I thought it would be yet engaging at the same time. Some pieces of the puzzle was very tricky and challenging, but after the fact, it seems like it was so easy, "why didn't I think of that" type of feeling. Haha... I guess that's a true sign of a good game well played. Definitely check out this game and others by Mission Escape which the host told us they are planning on expanding their location and games. It's a great team building activity and gets everyone involved and at the edge of their seats.

• Tried (unsuccessfully) to escape the Art Studio last weekend.
  
  Misson is a budget-friendly version of the more popular Escape the Room. There are some online deals floating around, so it was only $19 per person and worth every penny. These interactive, puzzle-themed games are spreading, perfect for adrenaline junkies like me.
  
  If you've done Escape the Room or something similar, this is the same set up. You hunt for clues, piece them together, and ultimately try to find the key to get out of the room. It's all about teamwork, being observant and organized, and looking at every minute detail. Meanwhile, a moderator sends you clues periodically through the screen if you're stuck.
  
  You only have one hour to escape and it flies by so quickly!
  
  Unfortunately, our room had a few technical difficulties and the moderator had to come in and fix a lock that wasn't working. This was definitely a letdown since it shaved off a few minutes from our time, and I feel like we could have escaped in time if it didn't happen (seriously!).
  
  Another drawback was that this room simply wasn't quite as fun or creative as the one I did at Escape the Room. I thought it was pretty barebones, and I wish it had a little more "oomph" for a staged art studio.

• Soooo...I think I just lost a lot of brain cells from doing this, but in a good way. This place is located in an unlikely area of Chinatown, and certainly in an unlikely building. I don't know, I expected a grungy-like, warehouse maze setting, but it was exactly like a Chinatown office environment.
  
  We bought our tickets through a LivingSocial deal and booked a 7-person time slot for my friend's birthday, plus a couple joined us for the Art Studio. We finished with 1:56 minutes left but those 58:04 minutes were brimmed with a roller coaster of emotions of "I don't want to do this anymore!," "What is the meaning of this?," and "Let's wreck shit up!"
  
  Unless you are insanely smart, you will need a group of people who have the brains and muscles to solve puzzles and clues. Needless to say, teamwork was definitely critical and important but it was extremely fun. We wouldn't have opened a few locks without the help of the staff, who were very friendly and quirky. This is definitely something to do if you're bored and want to put your investigative skills to use. The Dark Room is something to consider on the future, but there is a 6-person limit of $180.
  
  Moral lesson: don't overthink things.

• If you never tried Mission Escape, I highly recommend you do. A group of us did the the Art Studio game over the weekend and everyone had a blast. The game itself was very well designed and we found it to be challenging and fun. I figured an hour would be plenty of time, but it barely was. We solved it with only 40 seconds left on the clock so everyone's adrenaline was going by the end.
  
  The space itself is cool too, with fun little games in the reception area. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. A little on the expensive side, but definitely worth it.

• Of the three Escape-the-Room type of game I played this one is pretty fun!
  
  We finished the Mission Escape Game Art Studio within the 60 min period.
  
  The Art Studio is a single room game with a lot of items inside the challenge your brain. Best strategy is the bring a group of friend who work well together.
  
  Communications is a most for winning!
  
  Of the four other places that are running Escape games this place is organized and professionally run. Very nice waiting area with pleasant hosts.
