Game masters are nice and helpful. Although both rooms a pretty great (with an awesome twist to the beginning of each game), Escape Thai Prison takes the cake for best escape room in philly.

Description:

Your friend tried to smuggle illegal substances through the Bangkok International Airport. Little did you know, the Thailand authorities have a zero-tolerance policy for drug dealers! The whole group has been detained and put in holding to be transferred to prison. You’re looking at a long sentence behind bars…

With just an hour left before the transportation, a riot breaks out at the station and the all of the officers have their hands full. No one is watching you… This could be your last chance to escape!

Boyfriend and I did the Thai prison escape room. It was so much fun! They even handcuff you which was a great twist! We had Lore, please ask for her if you go she is so much fun and definitely would not go back to anyone else. We had so much fun that we are going back next weekend for the Alice room!

My very first time experiencing an escape room and I'm ready for more!!! Mind Escape was amazing, accommodating and beyond fun! My sister and I enjoyed the Thai prison escape so much that we re-booked on the spot for the Alice in Wonderland and went back in. If you're feeling skeptical about it just shake that feeling and book!!!!

One of the best Escape Rooms I’ve done so far. Christina was our game host and she was AMAZING! Made the game so fun. We did the prison one and finished w/ 6 mins lefts. It was just challenging enough to where we didn’t think we would pull through. 10/10 recommend

Had such a great time here I did the prison room with Sky…I must say he did very well hosting our visit he has a very fun personality that helped to make our overall experience amazing. Can’t wait to come back to this place would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun night in Philadelphia.

AJ was our game master and was absolutely incredible! We had the most immersive and fun experience as he led us to and through our prison-themed room. The room itself had an incredible flow and story. The attention to detail was immaculate. The clues were logical and led nicely into one another. Definitely the best experience we’ve had at any escape room, and AJ truly elevated it.

The Thai Prison Escape was amazing! Had a ton of fun ! Luis was really great assisting throughout the entire puzzle when we needed help! Really got into character too! Highly recommend

We went with a large group and chose the “Prison Escape”. Unfortunately, we didn’t finish, but we all had a GREAT time. The puzzles are just the right amount of difficult, and the staff really gets into the scene. We will definitely be back!

This was my 3rd escape room, but the first for most people in my group of 9. The premise was very unique (Escape from Thai prison), and I honestly had no idea how they were going to pull that off. It was epic! The puzzles were challenging, but not too hard. We needed a number of hints to get through some of the more difficult parts. I was afraid that having a large group would be a little to overwhelming, but it was perfect. We each figured out different parts of the puzzle and made it out in time.

First time I've ever tried an escape room. OMG! Thai Prison was freaking epic! Challenging, creative, and so much fun! A total of four of us played. The game master turning into a prison guard was a really nice touch!

At the end, she told us we worked like a "well-oiled machine". Next time we're in Philly, we're coming back to this place. So worth the money! Hate to brag, but we killed it! Great team chemistry!

We did the escape from Thai prison challenge and it was amazing! The challenge was a good difficulty level and we were able to get through in 40 minutes with 2 hints! Dillon was our game master and he was amazing. He made it really fun and went above and beyond what we expected. Also he's not bad to look at. Would definitely want to get locked in a prison with Dillon again.

My friends and I came to Philly for the weekend and happened upon Mind Escape. We chose the Thai prison escape and our game master Dillon was so helpful and fun af. We had an amazing time and Dillon went above and beyond to make our experience the best it could be. Next time we come to town we're trying to chill with Dillon. Thanks mind escape!

Came here for a friends birthday and we had a blast! It was my first escape room and it did not disappoint. We did the Thai Jail challenge which took us through three rooms. Since there was no one after us the person working allowed us to keep going until we figured it out (with a few hints) instead of cutting us off at the reservations time limit.

Had no idea what I was walking to but this was SUPER fun. The staff was excellent (shout out new guy Pete!) We did the Thai prison and it was WILD. So much fun. Would highly recommend this spot, couldnt of had a better time!

It was our first escape room and my soon-to-be 9 and 10 year old grandsons were apprehensive about their problem solving abilities. Once incarcerated in our Thai jail cell, they immediately went to work! We got through the first part with great support from our game master, Olivia, and the boys were already planning strategies for the next time we come!

In my escape room experience of 212 games, Thai Prison and Jack the Ripper are among The best and most poslished games I have seen. Thai Prison, being a standout in the prison game genre, is an intense and immersive experience that requires players to think as though they were actually escaping a prison, creating a uniquely immersive and interactive game. Jack the Ripper is an eerie and atmospheric horror game requiring players to puzzle through the age old mystery of the identity of Jack the Ripper in a way that feels organic and realistic, while being a cerebral and challenging puzzle game. Intense, immersive, and intelligent, Mindescape is a venue so devoted to their craft, and this devotion shines in each puzzle and interaction of both games. The gamemasters were also excellent, shout outs to Maya and Cameron for being particularly observant over our group and giving us great hints. The introduction for Thai Prison aced by Maya was humorous and a nice touch, and Cameron was incredibly helpful in working with my solo run of Jack the Ripper, acting as an invaluable helper when I did not have enough hands to succeed. The designer of the games was on site and incredibly friendly, able to adapt Jack the Ripper to accommodate the aforementioned solo run. Mindescape is venue not to be missed, and I would heavily suggest checking out both games if you are ever in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Came from Toronto for a conference and asked a few friends which escape room was the best. Mindescape was recommened as the new room in town. We have several good rooms in Toronto but this one is certainly is THE BEST I've done. The variety and originality of the puzzles as well as the flow of the room was absolutley flawless!

We were paired with another group which were not familiar with the concept and they really enjoyed as well.

Also Isabela the game master was really nice and. I would recommend anyone that likes room escape games to try them out.! Thanks Mindescape!

Wow! still have a high from this room! I have done half a dozen in Philly and NY area (from Allen town) and honestly this one is my favorite so far! I was sceptical about those 5 star reviews all over, because nobody is perfect, but their Thai Prison room definetly comes close as far as story and immersion. The puzzles are not your typical count-objects-math-brain-teasers style. You really need to think like somebody who is trying to escape, to complete this one. Dont overthink and you'll do alright. Our time was 44 minutes with no clues, best time that week!

Can't wait for Jack The ripper to come out!

Such an awesome room. Our room master was excellent. She immersed us into the world of the Thai prison before we even got into the room. The puzzles were exciting and challenging, but not impossible. All the clues were really creative and unique. Very much looking forward to their next room.

I took my team here for a team building event and it was a success. I spoke to Gill on the phone and he made the entire event smooth and effortless. We booked the entire place and they helped us set up food and drinks. My team does not stop talking about how much fun they had. It was a definite added value to my team and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to take her team to the next level !

Set this up with Vee, she was 1 done! We loved the 1st one so much we wanted to take all our friends 2 ck it out! It was way too hot! So sweaty! The clues too complicated, and all the reviews said how its the best one. After this made me not want to do anymore again!

My girlfriend and I live around the corner and we wanted to know what is all the buzz is about. We had so much fun, in about 2 minutes in we totally lost ourselves in the game. It was so immersive and real we did not even noticed that an hour went by.

Thank you very much for bringing this to our neighborhood, it is creative and fun.

This is by far the best escape room I've done! I went with two of my friends and my mom. It was sooooo much fun. We worked together to solve the clues and had a blast. We made it out of the Thai person in 57 minutes :) I am coming back for the second room once it opens !

OMG what a blast, our group almost made it. It was my husband bday and he wanted to do something different, I am so glad we stop by and decided to go for it at the last moment. Our "game master" Gil was super helpful and genuinely enjoyed the experience with us. Do not hesitate check this guys out.
