Description:

Onboard the famous trans-European Budapest Express, you are with Karine Peaufiner, a famous French detective from Paris. You are traveling to Budapest to meet with other detectives showcasing the latest developments in crime scene forensics.

It is nighttime and you are passing slowly through the heart of Europe during a heavy snowstorm. You are reviewing case notes in your cabin with Karine and your colleagues. Suddenly there is a knock at the door, it is the train manager. He looks worried and asks you to come quickly to the First Class dining coach.

When you arrive, you see a man slumped over a restaurant table. He was Sir Clarence Hayden and he has been murdered!

The manager informs you that in one hour the train will stop at the next station, if the killer hasn’t been apprehended, they will be free to escape into the night and get away with this horrible crime!

Your reputation as brilliant detectives precedes you, he asks you to solve the crime so the murderer can be caught and brought to justice. You’re able to narrow down 5 suspects who were seen in the dining car around the time Sir Clarence was murdered.

Moving through the cabins and gathering evidence, the killer knows you are hot on their trail and has decided you are their next target. With you out of the picture they would be free to escape when the train stops.

Solve the riddles and puzzles, gather the evidence and solve the murder before it’s too late!

Do you have what it takes to find the killer before they find you? Time is of the essence!

This escape room has one of the best atmospheres that I have ever had in an escape room. The way it's all decorated is just perfect. But now for the part that really matters, the puzzles! I didn't make it out, but all the puzzles were very fun and made me really think. But a heads up: It has a lot of reading, so if that is not your thing, then that's something good to know. Also, the whodunit kinda situation made it very entertaining and gave the room a bit more of a story than just "Open box, whoa, pinpad, door open, repeat for 3 rooms." which is always great.

So overall, I would really recommend this escape room.

So, Antidote was my first escape room, not just in Escapology, but EVER.

I have almost never had so much fun! We had to do the next two rooms right then and there, and spent the rest of the afternoon having a blast.

The staff was courteous, the scenarios and equipment-use creative, and our Game Master seemed to be having as much fun as we were.

I can't say enough great things about our experience at Escapology!!!

The employees were so nice and interactive while we waited. Offering us water multiple times. The Budapest room was hard but so much fun! Would definitely recommend! Can't wait to come back and do another.

As an escape room player, I have played well over 100 games. During my trip to San Diego, this was one of my favorite escape rooms. The attention to detail and immersion was outstanding. More importantly, the staff here delivers some of the best customer service in the industry. The games are great and the puzzles are clearly tied to the theme. If you are a beginner, novice, or expert, this is the place to go for your escape room adventure.

We had an incredibly fun time. First time that we'd tried something like this and I surprised my bf for his bday by taking him to do the Budapest Express. The game master was helpful and we can't wait to go back and try the other storylines.

We had a great time and the staff is 100% amazing!!! We did the train scene and it was a blast!!! What a great way to spend my brothers birthday! We love you Javi!!! Let's do this again!!! I wish they had a kid's themed room though!!! That would be so much fun with Dominic!

First time playing and we had a blast!! Started out with Antidote and game master Augustus was extremely helpful to my group of rookies. We loved his sense of humor and his desire to see us succeed. We enjoyed him and the game so much that we immediately signed up to do Budapest Express. Having just completed Antidote we knew exactly what was necessary to tackle Budapest and we executed our plan flawlessly. We finished that escape with 9 minutes to spare. The "who done it" feel of Budapest was very exciting. I would recommend this to all of my friends and family.
