Don't worry: this is not a history lesson, so you won't need to write a report about what happened in 1861 or remember the names of all British kings. In these escape rooms, you will be transported to a different era. A meaningful plot will make your heart race a little faster, and the atmosphere will stimulate the thought process. Will you change the course of history?
From the orientation (Bandit was the absolute best) all the way through the puzzles were tricky, inventive, clever and authentic. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. For my first escape room I feel like the bar was set incredibly high, and look forward to more outings to Escape Artistry.Cruiser
We are a family of four with two teens and we've been to over 100 escape rooms, definitely escape room enthusiasts. We did two of escape rooms today - the Railcar and Detective vs. Dillinger. Both rooms use traditional locks and have both challenging puzzles and unique ones. The Railcar is set in a Chicago "L" train car, and for all of the escape rooms you "travel in time". We can't say much more without ruining the experience. In the Detective vs. Dillinger you play detectives. The puzzles were more of a challenge than other rooms, which one of my teens loves. We escaped railcar just in time with lots of nudges and clues. Detective vs. Dillinger we finished with about 10 min left. One unique thing about this set of escape rooms in the game masters are much more "in character" and add to the overall experience. Call up from the street if you can't get into the buildings or find the place once you are at the right address. One is on the 3rd floor and the other the 2nd floor.EscapeRoomJunky
If you are new to escape rooms, it's like a 3D puzzle, with many different types of puzzles. Definitely tell your gamemaster that it is your first game. That will help them tailor the clues. The game master will also sometimes offer nudges if you don't know what to do next or are going in the wrong direction. So if you like mysteries, cross-word puzzles, Sudoku, riddles, word games, etc.. these are for you. The first part of any escape room is usually a seek-n-find. Communication while you are in the room is very, very, very important. Sometimes letting your team members know that you found a place for a key just to find out they found a key (for example). Make sure to look at the escape rates of the rooms and look for one with a higher escape rate to begin. Again, the game masters will usually accommodate if you let them know ahead of time. Happy gaming!! A great activity for families with teens.
This place has really good rooms to escape in. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love how each escape room has multiple rooms inside it. One of the best escape rooms my friends and I have done.Elizabeth
Amazing room! The best we have done in the City. The use of unique puzzles is on point. Would highly recommend!Kristina M
