Your team of special agents has a lot of top secret cases to choose from! Don't let the bombs, missile launches, unbreakable cipher codes or rival spies distract you from the main task: escape the room before the time is up!
Our group did the "Special Inquiry" of 6 people. It was a surprise. The room is actually really hard for someone like us who never played escape room before. We do have to think differently in here compare to the real world. Also alert to all of you. This room is hell scary!!! Nothing jump out. I think the guy who built this room was genius.Jun Y.
I played so many escape rooms in my country China. Escape rooms there was like real sites of movies. I also played some other escape rooms in the Bay Area. I realized American escape rooms are so much different than China.Junyi L.
Get back to this escape room. I came here by friend's recommendation. We tried the "A Wrinkle of Wormhole" it was really hard for us. There are so much details in the game that we have to remember and pay some attentions on it at the same time. And remember! Team work, team work, and team work! I felt I went to the gym after play this game. So tired but it was fun.
I really recommend you to play this with your close friends since you have to do something together and yelling to each other's for those clues.
It was really cool. The game was super fun and challenging. We bring our inters there and they loved it. They do have a great Italian restaurant on the first floor of the building, so we went there right after our game.Sarha
Never seen a game like this before. It’s like an escape game but need to get into this suitcase. It looks like a high end movie prop, with keypad on top, and you get some gadgets to pick codes and such. Than it opens to more puzzles and another level and another level. Very clever.
The military guy on TV gave some story about evil corporation and we worked on 8 cases at different tables. Ended up helping each other otherwise we probably wouldn’t have finished it in time.
Their “secret safe house” was a bit hard to find. Check the address in the email. we went to their main office first but it’s just a block away. No big deal.
I did Escape Oakland's newest room, The Spy Game, today and it was very challenging but also quite fun. It's their toughest room, with an 8-10% escape rate. (There seems to have been some misinformation on here stemming from another reviewer's description of the room difficulties based on their subjective opinion, but the website posts the % escape rates for each room.)Jennifer L.
I'd recommend The Spy Game for groups of experienced escape roomers. If your team has first-timers, you might want to consider one of their easier rooms instead. I think first-timers might feel a little frustrated by this one. It's not the flashiest room, but there are a ton of puzzles to chew on and lot of variety in types of puzzles. I think this is a great room to try if you're someone who is really in it for the puzzles and a good challenge. I'm not as into rooms that have Hollywood-movie-set-esque decorations but easy puzzles, so I'm glad I chose this one.
I was on the fence about giving them a 4 or a 5, but settled on 5 because they were patient with my team after we didn't escape the room in time. In addition to giving us like 10 minutes extra, they were nice about one of the guys who kept trying to continue to solve stuff when they were explaining the clues to us, etc.
My general feeling is that even though they are relatively new and don't have the super fancy bells and whistles of some of the larger and more established escape room companies, they seem dedicated to trying to make solid puzzles/rooms. I think they'll continue to improve their rooms and the experience overall.
Came here on a whim. Never did an escape room before. This place was a little tricky to find. It's upstairs of the building so head inside.YaoEun L.
Before we go into the room, we watch a screen with rules and the backstory of the escape room. Then we get a walker talkie in case they need to talk us or if we want to ask for a hint. There are cameras in the rooms for them to watch to make sure you follow the rules. We might have been reminded about some rules....
We did the special inquiry escape room. Since it was the first I've ever been to it took a little bit to figure out what needed to be done in there. It was pretty fun and it did get a little creepy. We didn't make it out... but it has inspired us to try another escape room.
